Irides - Living in a Fairytale
Das ursprüngliche Ferienhaus befindet sich am Dorfrand von Kamilari, einem typisch Süd kretischen Dorf. Es gibt ein Wohnzimmer, ein Schlafzimmer mit einem 1,40 m Doppelbett, eine gut eingerichtete Küche und ein Badezimmer. Alles ist offen gestaltet, sanft, mit viel Liebe und Stil renoviert. Das Ferienhaus verfügt über eine Terrasse mit Pergola mit Blick in den wunderschönen Garten.
This traditional holiday home is situated on the outskirts of Kamilari, a typical South Cretan village. It comprises a living room, a bedroom with a 1.40 m double bed, a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The whole property has an open-plan layout and has been lovingly and stylishly renovated. The holiday home features a terrace with a pergola overlooking the beautiful garden.
Zu Fuss erreichst du in zehn Minuten das Dorfzentrum mit einem Supermarkt. Das Dorf beherbergt ca. zehn traditionelle Tavernen, die ebenso alle zu Fuss gut erreichbar sind.
It’s a ten-minute walk to the village centre, where there’s a supermarket. The village is home to around ten traditional tavernas, all of which are also within easy walking distance.
Unser Lieblingsstrand, der Komos Beach, ein geschützter Dünenstrand, ist ca. 4 km entfernt. Der Strand von Kalamaki ca. 3 km. Andere Traumstrände sind ebenfalls in der Nähe. Aber es gibt noch viele andere Dinge zu tun, als sich an den natürlichen Stränden zu vergnügen. Durchwandere z.B. tiefe Schluchten, besteige bis zu 2500 Meter hohe Berge, entdecke den 4000 Jahre alten, ehemaligen minoischen Palast in Faistos und viele andere Ausgrabungsstätten in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Our favourite beach, Komos Beach – a sheltered dune beach – is about 4 km away. Kalamaki Beach is about 3 km away. There are other stunning beaches nearby too. But there are plenty of other things to do besides enjoying the natural beaches. For example, you can hike through deep gorges, climb mountains up to 2,500 metres high, explore the 4,000-year-old former Minoan palace at Phaistos and many other archaeological sites in the immediate vicinity.
Das Haus ist über die Ecke mit einem anderen, ebenso landestypischen Haus verbunden, in dem das aus der Schweiz stammende, seit zehn Jahren auf Kreta lebende Besitzerehepaar lebt
.The house is connected, via the corner, to another house, equally typical of the region, in which the owners – a couple originally from Switzerland who have been living in Crete for ten years – live.
